Helping Animals One Step at a Time
On September 20th, many enthusiastic walkers came out in support of the animals in the Orillia area. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Friends for Life! Walk™ such a success! The event couldn't have been successful without the generosity of our community sponsors, the commitment of our volunteers, and everyone who donated, fundraised or participated in the walk.

Animal Interaction Eases Tragedy
We recently welcomed a local family to the Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre who had experienced a time of crisis in their lives.
Studies show that interacting with animals can reduce stress in people, and thanks to some “puppy love” from one of our shelter pets “Arthur”, we know he has made a positive difference in their lives.
They decided to adopt him that day, and recently came by to tell us his presence in their family was exactly what they needed.
We wish all the best to Arthur in his new home.
