Huron Walk Participants

Saving Animals One Step at a Time

We are so thankful for all of our friends and supporters that attended the annual Friends for Life! Walk™ on September 19, 2015. With your support we raised over $2,300 for the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre! Participants gathered at Lions Harbour Park in Goderich to enjoy a barbeque lunch, winning prizes at the raffle, and playtime with our canine friends.

Thank you to the participants, volunteers, donors and sponsors. The day was a success because of all of your support!  We hope you will join us again next year.  Stay tuned for details.

A Little Love for Black Cats

Did you know owning a black cat is believed to be good luck by many different countries around the world?

As Halloween approaches, the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre wants to highlight the benefits of adopting a black cat because cats of ALL colours need loving homes. We currently have three-year-old “Bagheera” up for adoption, who loves belly rubs, playing with other cats and children.

Come by our shelter to meet Bagheera and see if he could be the purr-fect match for you!

Welcome Patty to our Volunteer Team

The Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre is pleased to welcome Patti Munnings to our volunteer team. Patti has always wanted to help comfort cats and kittens who needed a home. Patti and her husband adopted their adorable cat “Shelby” from our Animal Centre five years ago, and she recently started volunteering with us.

"I really enjoy the company of the staff during my visits, and I like getting to know the cats and helping them become comfortable and happy during their time at the shelter.”

We are very lucky to have her as a part of the team.
