"Homer" Needs a Helping Hand
"Homer" is a sweet, 6-year-old domestic short haired cat. He came from a multi-pet household, and when his owners could not afford his medical care, he was surrendered to the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre.
When brought into our care, Homer was assessed by a veterinarian and it was detected that he had a previous injury to his ears, likely from frostbite, along with a fractured upper canine tooth that needs removal.
Please help us give Homer the opportunity and the dentistry he needs, and help other animals just like him get a second chance.

Saving Animals One Step at a Time
On September 20th, many enthusiastic walkers came out in support of the animals in the Greater Sudbury area. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Friends for Life! Walk™ such a success! The event couldn't have been successful without the generosity of our community sponsors, the commitment of our volunteers, and everyone who donated, fundraised or participated in the walk.
We hope you will join us next September. Stay tuned for details.

Fragile "Minnie" Pulls Through
At only a few weeks old, this little kitten was surrendered to the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre in November of 2014. We were able to place “Minnie” in a foster home so she could be specially cared for and bottle fed.
At three months of age, Minnie was diagnosed with having a salivary gland abscess but was fortunate to take part in the College Boreal Vet Tech Program. While she was there, they spayed her and gave her an operation to have the abscess successfully removed.
After some TLC and time to recover, Minnie was successfully adopted on September 19th, 2015!
We wish Minnie and her new family all the best.
