Update on "Shep"
It's always a pleasure to get updates on how our adopted friends are doing in their new homes. So when we received this letter from "Shep's" family, we just had to share it.
Dear Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre,
On February 2nd of this year I adopted Shep, a one-year-old energetic Rottie/Shepherd mix from your shelter. Shep had his issues including a crippling fear of car rides and separation anxiety. With lots of love, and countless hours sitting in the car with Shep, he has since overcome his fears and now cannot wait for his next car ride. He has bloomed into an extremely unique and goofy dog. The only way to describe him is to say that if one of the Three Stooges were turned into a dog, that would be the embodiment of Shep. Shep is my best friend, the furry four legged pal I can count on. We are inseparable.
From the bottom of my heart (and Shep's) I want to say thank you to your staff and volunteers for all of their hard work and care that they provide for animals who need some love, until they are able to find their family.

Amputation Hasn’t Slowed “Saydie” Down
Last month we told you about “Saydie”, the sweet girl who had to have her front leg amputated after a severe break. Well Saydie has been adopted and is doing fantastic! She has settled nicely into her new home and has healed extremely well. She is navigating up and down the stairs on her own, and takes her new family out on walking adventures everyday. She loves to run and chase squirrels and birds in the. backyard as well.
Thank you to everyone who supported Saydie and animals like her.
