Things are Looking Good for “Sophie”
Do you remember “Sophie”, the sweet Husky mix stray who came into the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Animal Centre in really rough shape? She was seriously neglected and had a four-inch pipe embedded in her nose.
Well we are happy to report that Sophie is recovering nicely after surgery. Her foster family has been taking really good care of her and is going to be adopting Sophie as soon as she is cleared with a clean bill of health.

Staying Warm and Safe in the Cold Months Ahead
It’s inevitable. We live in Canada which means cold winter months are in the forecast. Whether you are planning to hibernate or excited to pull out the toque and gloves and bring your pet out for some cold weather fun, safety should always come first.
Enjoy a nice winter season with some cold weather safety tips.

Cat Care Volunteer Extraordinaire
We would like to shine the spotlight on Denise! Denise is a regular Cat Care Volunteer at the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Animal Centre and truly makes a difference. She cares for the cats and they absolutely adore her. Denise always makes sure all cats have enrichment toys and soft beds before she heads out for the day.
They sure are lucky to have you Denise. From all the staff and animals, we want to say a big thank you for your dedication to the animals.
