A break in the litters of kittens coming in, a season of holiday adoptions and the spirit of holiday giving. Rescued: 75 Dogs Given a Second Chance at Life
75 rescued dogs’ lives from a northern Ontario First Nation’s Community have been changed forever, and for the good.
The Ontario SPCA, along with support from Beat the Heat Kenora, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society, the North Bay & District Humane Society and Cargo North Airlines were invited by Whitefish Bay First Nations Community to assist in the capture and transfer of 75 dogs and puppies.

“Amber” is Ready for Adoption
Last month we told you about “Amber”, a sweet German shepherd who was abandoned by her owners at a boarding facility. Amber started treatment on her ears and noticeably more content.
She is feeling much better and no longer shaking her head. Amber is finally ready for adoption. Visit meetyourmatch.ontariospca.ca to view her profile and meet some of her friends.

Volunteer Needed Once a Week
The Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre is in need of volunteers available to dedicate at least one morning a week to either administrative tasks or assisting with cleaning.
Helping with either of these tasks relieves a lot of workload from our animal care staff who are then able to spend more time providing one-on-one care to our animals.
