Giving Tuesday is December 1, 2015 - a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to make a difference. Since Giving Tuesday is about giving back to community, we want to say a big thank you to all our supporters for helping us through the years.
It is thanks to you that we have been able to provide animal protection, rehabilitation and care; advocacy and humane education for the past 142 years. Your help makes a difference for thousands of animals each year.
Whether you choose to assist through the donation of a financial gift, event sponsorship, giving an animal a second chance, or volunteering your time, your support makes our work possible. Thank you for choosing to support the Ontario SPCA!
Keep an eye out on our social media channels for a special thank you video.

Meet "Zeus"!
This handsome boy is just over a year old and full of energy! In the Meet your Match® personality assessment, Zeus is a ‘Green’, a true go-getter. He is a big bouncy guy, eager to please but needs help working on his manners and looking for someone to spend time training him to be the gentleman we know he can be. He would love to be the only pet in the house, and his boundless energy may not be ideal for small children. He would be a great running partner, a fantastic hiker, and would definitely keep you entertained!
If you would love to uncover his potential, call the Ontario SPCA Kent County Animal Centre at 519-354-1713 to make an appointment to meet this lovable boy!

Staying Warm and Safe in the Cold Months Ahead
It’s inevitable. We live in Canada which means cold winter months are in the forecast. Whether you are planning to hibernate or excited to pull out the toque and gloves and bring your pet out for some cold weather fun, safety should always come first.
Enjoy a nice winter season with some cold weather safety tips.

Giving Back Starts Young
It’s never too early to teach children about giving back to the community. And that is exactly what one daycare in the Chatham area is doing.
The children were learning about compassion and helping others when they decided they wanted to do something special for the cats and dogs at the Ontario SPCA Kent County Animal Centre. They collected food, toys and treats, and even wrote heartwarming letters to some of the animals waiting for their forever home.
The staff, volunteers and animals are so very thankful for the support we receive from our community…and even more so when it comes from children.
