A Wish Comes True
“Pepper” received her holiday miracle and staff couldn’t be happier! The average length of stay for an animal at our Animal Centre is 34 days. But for 2-year-old Pepper, her stay extended to 492 days as she was often overlooked due to her shy nature.
Staff and volunteers worked hard to socialize this little girl and help get her out of her shell. We were thrilled when her purr-fect match came in just before the holidays and adopted her. Our holiday wish came through
Congratulations Pepper on finding your furever home!

We Give Thanks to Sonya
Sonya has been volunteering at the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre for over 8 years! What dedication! As a valuable member of our cat enrichment volunteer team, Sonya enjoys socializing and interacting with the cats and kittens. It is because of her love for cats that she started volunteer with us, and has even adopted a cat named "Baby".
Thank you Sonya for your friendship and ongoing support of the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre.

iAdopt for the Holidays a Huge Success
From November 1 – December 31, Ontario SPCA Animal Centres in partnership with 50 other participating SPCAs and Humane Societies across Canada, ran the iAdopt for the Holidays adoption campaign with the goal of getting as many animals as possible adopted into loving, forever homes.
Over 5,000 animals, close to 1,500 of those from Ontario SPCA Animal Centres, found homes thanks to people like you either adopting or helping to spread the word.
The winner of our grand prize online contest, winning free pet food for a year courtesy of Royal Canin, was ‘Maggie’ the cat (pictured above) and her owners from Amherstburg, ON. Congratulations!
A big thank you to all who participated in this year’s campaign both online and through adopting an animal. You helped change lives this holiday season!

Over 200 Animals Found Homes
On behalf of the staff and volunteers at the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre, we move forward into 2016 by extending a HUGE THANK YOU to our community! Because of you, in 2015, over 200 animals from the Ontario SPCA Huron County Animal Centre found loving homes!
We are excited and hopeful to help even more animals in 2016. You can help us reach our goals by adopting a pet, volunteering at the Animal Centre, or supporting one of our fantastic fundraisers!
