Leash Training your Dog with Dave Salmoni

Providing Spay/Neuter Services to Whitefish Bay First Nation
The Whitefish Bay community is committed to reducing pet overpopulation. They recently invited the Ontario SPCA, Beat the Heat Kenora, the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society and local volunteers, on to the First Nation community to provide spay/neuter services.
The Ontario SPCA is pleased to report that 79 surgeries were performed! In addition, the team was able to provide microchipping and vaccines to some of the local pets.

The Hard-Luck Case of “Dexter”
At the tender age of six months old, a scruffy and timid little puppy named “Dexter” was surrendered into our care. He lacked positive interaction with people, and we knew it would take a lot of time and patience to bring him around.
Thankfully, long-time staff member of the Ontario SPCA Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre, Julie, knew what to do. She ended up falling in love with him, and he is now settled in his new home with her family!

Raising the Bar for National Cupcake Day™
We can’t believe how many supporters and cupcake enthusiasts baked and sold their wonderful confectioneries for National Cupcake Day! It was a huge success for the Ontario SPCA Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre, with over $700 raised!
We had several locations where community members could buy the donated treats. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and supported our Animal Centre! |
