Providing Spay/Neuter Services to Whitefish Bay First Nation

The Whitefish Bay community is committed to reducing pet overpopulation. They recently invited the Ontario SPCA, Beat the Heat Kenora, the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society and local volunteers, on to the First Nation community to provide spay/neuter services.

The Ontario SPCA is pleased to report that 79 surgeries were performed!  In addition, the team was able to provide microchipping and vaccines to some of the local pets.

“Chocolate” and “Cream” are so Delightful

When two little feline brothers came into our care at the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, the staff fell in love!

“Chocolate” and “Cream” were all ready for National Cupcake Day, and we hoped their sweet personalities would help them get adopted. Not only did these adorable kittens find their forever homes, but they were adopted together!

The adopter says “The boys are doing great! When they aren't sleeping or playing, they will come to us for a good cuddle, but only when it's their idea (typical cats!). They are sweet little boys and we love them dearly.”
