Leash Training your Dog with Dave Salmoni
Dave Salmoni is back! This time, he’s going to help show methods of leash training your dog, with the help of Ontario SPCA Inspector Scott Sylvia and Hannah the dog!

Providing Spay/Neuter Services to Whitefish Bay First Nation
The Whitefish Bay community is committed to reducing pet overpopulation. They recently invited the Ontario SPCA, Beat the Heat Kenora, the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society and local volunteers, on to the First Nation community to provide spay/neuter services.
The Ontario SPCA is pleased to report that 79 surgeries were performed! In addition, the team was able to provide microchipping and vaccines to some of the local pets.

From Frostbitten to our Favourite Tabby
Our Animal Centre had a beautiful orange Tabby cat we named “Garfield” come into our care after a bone-chilling cold snap hit, and this poor guy suffered from frostbite as a result.
His lifesaving care was expensive, and the Orillia community came to his rescue with their overwhelming support and well wishes. While he recovers, we invite you to follow his progress on the Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre’s Facebook page to track Garfield’s journey!

With spring on the way, we are looking forward to some warmer weather and a great new batch of volunteers to join the Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre’s team. Whether it’s a few days or even a few hours a week, we would love to have you. We have a variety of positions that may fit your interests and skills.

Spay-ghetti Dinner without the Balls
