Providing Spay/Neuter Services to Whitefish Bay First Nation

The Whitefish Bay community is committed to reducing pet overpopulation. They recently invited the Ontario SPCA, Beat the Heat Kenora, the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team, the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society and local volunteers, on to the First Nation community to provide spay/neuter services.

The Ontario SPCA is pleased to report that 79 surgeries were performed!  In addition, the team was able to provide microchipping and vaccines to some of the local pets.

His lifesaving care was expensive, and the Orillia community came to his rescue with their overwhelming support and well wishes. While he recovers, we invite you to follow his progress on the Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre’s Facebook page to track Garfield’s journey!
