Dog Panting from Heatroke

Road Trip

Know the Signs of Heatstroke

An afternoon in the garden, or day on the trails, even the most responsible pet owners might be at risk of their pet having heatstroke. Increased heart rate, excessive panting or drooling and listlessness are some of the signs that your pet might be in danger.

Keep your pets safe by learning the signs and what to do if your pet suffers from heatstroke.

Road Tripping with Your Pets

Muskoka Renegade
Muskoka Bargain Hounds

Meet Renegade!

Renegade is a 12-year-old grade mare that came into our care through our investigations department and is looking for a new pasture to call home. She is a dark solid bay and stands at 15hh. Renegade has outstanding ground manners and behaves well for both the vet and farrier. She crossties and tacks up quietly and loads on a trailer without a fuss. She gets along well in a mixed herd and is an easy keeper. Renegade is a very social mare who loves people and loves being groomed and fussed over. Although she is green under saddle, she is very willing and sensible. She is doing a nice walk/jog, but is still unsure at the lope.

Renegade requires chiropractic adjustments at this time to treat TMJ, but her vet and chiropractor feel this condition should resolve with her current care practices.  Renegade will make an excellent pleasure/trail mount for an intermediate or advanced rider/handler.
