Do you
remember “The Big Bang” puppies?
Earlier this year we asked for your help
because these five-week old pups were battling lice, mange and starvation. The
incredible support you showed Penny, Amy, Howard, Bernadette, Raj, Sheldon and
Mary Cooper blew us away. You helped us raise the full $2,400 to cover their
costs of care!
Today all seven puppies have been officially adopted and are being spoiled by
their new families! This wouldn’t have been possible without all the amazing

Volunteering for 18 years and counting
This month we
would like to spotlight Hilda, who has been volunteering with us for an
incredible 18 yeas and counting! Hilda is our "Jane of all trades"
here at the centre. We can always count on Hilda to be there for every
fundraising event. She arrives ready to jump in and help with whatever is
happening at that particular moment. She is there for our monthly bingo, loves
to socialize with the cats and dogs and helps in the office whenever necessary.
We appreciate her dedication and thoughtfulness.
Hilda, thank you for your devotion to animals and animal welfare, and for doing
all you can to shape a better tomorrow for the animals in our care.

Midland Home Depot shows its support
Special
thanks to the crew at the Midland Home Depot! A group of staff and supporters
collected much-needed items for the Midland & District Animal Centre! We
now have a few special items that will help us in caring for our furry friends.
Want to help our animals? Did you know the Ontario SPCA Midland & District
Animal Centre hosts a bottle drive fundraiser that operates all year around?
The public can drop off beer, wine and liquor bottles/cans at any time of the
week to support animals in need.
Clear out those garages, basements, cellars and sheds and drop empty bottles
off at our Animal Centre. Long weekends are the perfect opportunity to help out
our furry friends! For large quantities, call (705) 534-4459 to arrange pick
up.
