Rats find forever homes at adopt-a-thon
The Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre worked in
partnership with PetSmart® retail stores to find loving homes for a large
number of rats that came into the care of the Ontario SPCA in late December.
The
support provided by PetSmart Whitby, PetSmart Pickering, PetSmart Scarborough and
PetSmart East York was fundamental in providing a second chance for these
friendly, social rats!
Adopters
found it challenging to resist adopting one – or two! We’re thrilled for all of
the rats who were adopted into loving homes during the rat adopt-a-thon, which
ran from Jan. 21 to Feb. 12. Over 350 rats found new homes across the province
during this special adoption event, which was sponsored by PetSmart Charities®.
Thank
you to everyone for your support!
