What you need to know before camping with your
pet
Planning a camping trip this summer?
If you’re thinking
of bringing your dog on your next adventure, here are some tips to keep in
mind to ensure it’s a positive experience for you, your pet and your fellow
campers.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Keep your dog on a leash of less than two metres at
all times.
- Pick up and dispose of your dog’s waste in the
garbage.
- Keep your dog from chasing/harassing wildlife.
- Use designated “dog beaches” only for swimming.
- If your dog is a “barker,” avoid the stress
and consider not bringing Fido on this trip.
- If bugs are bothering your dog, consult with
your veterinarian about the best bug repellent option for your pet.
- Be sure to check park regulations before
reserving your site as not all campgrounds allow dogs.
With these tips in mind, enjoy summer camping with your
dog!

Beau has a new barn to call home
We are pleased to announce that Beau has been adopted and recently moved to his new home! He has two equine buddies to hang out with and a very dedicated family to support his ongoing training and shower him with all the loving care he needs.
Beau is a five-year-old bay Thoroughbred gelding and stands around 16.1 hands. This handsome lad has a lot to offer. He is very social and loves people. While in our care, Beau proved to be a calm, steady student under saddle. A “try hard” kind of guy, we are all very proud of his progress. We know he has a bright future ahead with his new loving family.
Congratulations to Beau and Diane. May you enjoy many happy adventures together.
