‘Tis the Season to Adopt
iAdopt for the Holidays is now in full swing, which means we’re asking you to consider giving a homeless animal a loving home.
Until Dec. 31, the Ontario SPCA, as well as SPCAs, Humane Societies and animal welfare groups across Canada are encouraging people to choose pet adoption as their first option when bringing home a new family member. Be sure to visit your local participating society to take part in iAdopt for the Holidays and change an animal’s life this holiday season.
PLUS during the campaign period, when you adopt a cat or kitten at an Ontario SPCA Animal Centre, you’ll receive a free box of Arm & Hammer Slide™ Cat Litter while supplies last!
Already have an adopted pet? Enter the iAdopt contest for a chance to WIN free pet food for a year from Royal Canin! Visit iadopt.ca for contest details.

Three-legged Cat Finds Forever Home
This sweet cat is a true fighter and a real gem! When Minew came into the care of the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre, she was up against a few challenges, all the while caring for four kittens.
Minew had an abscess on her back leg which became severely infected and resulted in a leg amputation. A virus then caused her eye to become severely infected and had to be removed.
Through thick and thin, Minew remained the sweetest, most loving cat. Although the kittens were fostered short term while mom was in recovery, they were soon returned to Minew’s care. All four kittens continue to do well and have all since been adopted. Minew is still recovering but will be available for adoption soon.
The Sudbury & District Animal Centre would like to thank the community for their continued support. It’s thanks your generosity that animals like Minew are given a second chance at life.

Rabbit Abandoned in Mall Finds Forever Home
Back in September, a domestic male rabbit was brought to the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre after a concerned citizen found him abandoned at a mall store.
Upon examination, this sweet little guy appeared to be in good body condition and had a very friendly disposition. Once neutered, Coal was put up for adoption and we are happy to announce that he has found his forever home.
Abandoning your animal is never an option. If you find yourself in a position where you can no longer care for your animals, contact the Sudbury & District Animal Centre to discuss your options. |

Danny Zzzz Benefits the Animals
Earlier this month, the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre was thrilled to host the extraordinary Danny Zzzz in support of the animals in our community.
It was a mesmerizing show filled with magic tricks and illusions! Audience members participated in some amazing tricks while under hypnosis. People were falling asleep instantly on queue, dancing and so much more. It was truly a magical night for everyone!
A special thank you to Danny Zzzz and his crew, our generous community sponsors, and all of our donors and event attendees!
