Captain Volunteer meg
There’s no stopping this Captain

We are thrilled that our sweet Captain has found his forever home. This little 8-week-old Rottweiler mix was surrendered to the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre along with his brother.

Captain has some unique qualities. He was born with a front leg much shorter than the rest of his limbs, along with a hooked paw. Although he may look a little different from other dogs, Captain is a typical puppy who loves to run and play.

He is now settling in nicely with his new family who just love him. There are many other animals still waiting to find their forever home.
Spotlight on Meaghan

The Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre would like to shine the spotlight on Meagan, one of our wonderful student volunteers.

Meaghan started volunteering with us last September helping out with the cats. She loved getting the cats ready in the morning, feeding them and getting their rooms ready for the day.

Recently, Meaghan decided she wanted to also get involved in dog care and was excited to make the transition. Thank you Meaghan for everything you do. Even with her busy school schedule she still finds time to come and help out with the animals.

Wilma finds her forever home

Wilma came to the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre as a transfer back in October. Wilma needed a quiet home where she would be the only dog. After a couple of weeks of being at the Animal Centre, a potential adopter came in looking for a dog. She took Wilma for a walk and a bond was created. Wilma had met her perfect match.

Congratulations Wilma on finding your forever home.

There are still many animals waiting to find their new family.
