 Missy Casper Pet Bed
Update from Missy

We love to hear updates on the animals that move on to forever homes. Missy’s update made us smile and we wanted to share the love.

"Hi, Missy here!  I'm happy to report that on October 13th, I arrived at my new home. I have a new family with mom, dad and five kids! Mom keeps telling the little ones to put me down and stop holding me hostage, but as soon as they let me go, I run right back to them. My favourite game is hide and seek; it's been a few days and they still don't know my hiding spot! My new home is awesome!"
Have you pre-registered yet for National Cupcake Day™ 2019?

Sign-up before November 30th and you'll automatically be entered into our draw to win a Casper dog bed!  Register today for the sweetest day of the year!

Mitchel
 Cecil
On the road to forever

What is the best thing Mitchell’s mom has ever found while walking down the road? Well that would be Mitchell!

This sweet dog was wondering the streets when he was found by his new mom. After remaining unclaimed at the local pound, she couldn’t stop thinking about Mitchell and contacted us at the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre for updates.

Once Mitchell was cleared for adoption, she didn’t hesitate to adopt him. Mitchell has found his forever home thanks to that fateful day and we couldn’t be happier. We wish them both the best in their life together!
A long road leads to happiness

Cecil came in to the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Animal Centre as a stray back at the end of May and was in pretty rough shape upon arrival. Cecil had hair loss, a sore on his back leg and a blind spot in one of his eyes (likely from an injury).

Over time, we noticed that Cecil developed a limp! A vet examination determined that he had a break on his elbow joint that would likely never heal properly and would cause painful arthritis. The best course of action would be to have his leg amputated.

Although Cecil’s recovery was a long one, we are thrilled to report that he has since found the perfect home with another feline friend to keep him company and show him the lay of the land.
