In the winter we held "iAdopt for the Holidays", around Valentines Day, we help "iAdopt for Love", and in April and May we held "iAdopt for Spring".

But did you know that iAdopt is a year long adoption drive that saves the lives of orphaned pets? We encourage you to get involved! Visit www.iadopt.ca to take part in the “iAdopt" campaign and find your forever friend today.

What can youth do to help the Ontario SPCA this summer?

The Ontario SPCA offers several roles for youth volunteers as part of our regular volunteer program.

Youth volunteers assist with our events such as the Friends for Life! Walk, assist with marketing initiatives and administrative duties and take part in our cat enrichment program by providing much needed play time and human contact.

Youth volunteers must be 14 years of age, have a genuine compassion for animals and Animal Welfare philosophies and possess an energetic, positive attitude to volunteer with the Ontario SPCA. Youth volunteers in turn receive training and work experience, along with the satisfaction of helping their Community.

Visit our Get involved section on our website for more information on volunteer opportunities.

310-SPCA

Earlier this year, the Ontario SPCA introduced a centralized call center for reporting animal cruelty, 310-SPCA (7722).

Communities across Ontario are encouraged to utilize this number to report animal cruelty.

All calls received through this central number are assessed by a trained operator and the report is assigned to an appropriate enforcement Officer.

The Ontario SPCA relies on the public to report concerns for animal welfare. Please share this new number with your friends and family and help us help more animals!

No Hot Pets!

The award-winning No Hot Pets campaign is back!

The Ontario SPCA receives hundreds of reports of pets being left in cars every year.

The Ontario SPCA and Cadillac Fairview are working together with participating shelters across Canada to share the dangers of leaving pets unattended in hot vehicles.

We are asking for your help in sharing this message too. When you take the pledge NOT to leave your pet in your vehicle, you will receive a free No Hot Pets decal in the mail. Take the pledge now!

Check out our collaborative PSA with York Region Police and Toronto Police Services.  See more by clicking here.

If you see a pet in a hot vehicle, report it! Reporting is as easy as dialing 310-SPCA.

Lets have no hot pets this summer!

Friends For Life! Walk

Tails are wagging all across Ontario as we announce the launch of the 2014 Friends for Life! Walk™ .

The Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk™ is a provincial program of the Ontario SPCA and its Communities, designed to raise funds and awareness for the protection and care of all animals in Ontario.

September 20th and 21st, 2014 is the Friends for
Life! Walk Weekend to Save Pets. Around the province, thousands of walk participants will enjoy a stroll around a park in their community to help raise support for the animals in need across Ontario. Even people without pets can come out to enjoy the day and support this worthwhile cause.

To find a walk near you, and to register, please visit www.friendsforlifewalk.ca.

Help us make this a weekend to save pets!
