iAdopt Year Round!

Have you heard about the iAdopt campaign? Maybe you have adopted during one of the campaign periods?

In the winter we held "iAdopt for the Holidays", around Valentines Day, we help "iAdopt for Love", and in April and May we held "iAdopt for Spring".

Volunteer Spotlight

Liz Dolson has been volunteering at the Ontaro SPCA Kent Branch for over three years. She is an avid cat lover, and comes to the shelter every Friday afternoon to play and socialize with our kitties. Liz even got her husband Ken in on the act. He now volunteers to walk dogs every Saturday morning. 

Liz is one of our most dedicated volunteers. She was instrumental in preparing for the annual Furball Fete Dinner and Silent Auction, which was a huge success! 

The support of volunteers like Liz is essential to the day-to-day operation of our branch, and we’re so thankful for the help!

Happy Birthday Megan!

Megan warmed our hearts in May. For her 10th birthday, this thoughtful girl asked her family and friends not to buy her any presents. Instead she requested gifts for the cats and dogs at the Ontario SPCA Kent Branch. 

Megan and her mom brought in a box-load of goodies: cat and dog food, toys, cleaning supplies, cash, and even Canadian Tire money. The donations were so plentiful they barely fit on the front counter.

Way to go, Megan! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

No Hot Pets!

The award-winning No Hot Pets campaign is back!

The Ontario SPCA receives hundreds of reports of pets being left in cars every year. 

The Ontario SPCA and Cadillac Fairview are working together with participating shelters across Canada to share the dangers of leaving pets unattended in hot vehicles.

We are asking for your help in sharing this message too. When you take the pledge NOT to leave your pet in your vehicle, you will receive a free No Hot Pets decal in the mail. Take the pledge now!

Friends For Life! Walk™ 

Tails are wagging all across Ontario as we announce the launch of the 2014 Friends for Life! Walk™ .

The Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk™ is a provincial program of the Ontario SPCA and its Communities, designed to raise funds and awareness for the protection and care of all animals in Ontario.

September 20th and 21st, 2014 is the Friends for
Life! Walk™ Weekend to Save Pets. Around the province, thousands of walk participants will enjoy a stroll around a park in their community to help raise support for the animals in need across Ontario. Even people without pets can come out to enjoy the day and support this worthwhile cause.
