Another Happy Ending
“George” is an eight-year-old Terrier/ Shepherd mix. He was found as a stray in February in Richmond Hill, and was brought to the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre (PEAC) for evaluation.
Luckily, he was healthy despite having only partial eyesight. From PEAC he was transferred to the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Branch and was adopted in May; unfortunately, he soon joined us again.
He did not get along with his first adopter’s five cats, but he was very quickly adopted again into what is now his forever home!
He fits in great with his new family, which includes a Black Lab for a new brother.
Congratulations, George and company, on a perfect match and a loving new home!

Volunteer Spotlight!
Casey has been volunteering enthusiastically at the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Branch for several years now, always going the extra mile without being asked.
He comes in every Saturday morning without fail and is a friendly face that the dogs always get excited to see.
In February, he worked up the nerve to do the Polar Plunge, and in doing so raised over $300.00 for the branch!
Thank you, Casey, for being selfless and generous and always exceeding our expectations; you are such a valuable part of the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Branch’s family and we hope you always will be!

Thank You Rebecca
Rebecca is a wonderful ten-year-old girl who doesn’t know the meaning of the word “selfish”.
Every year for her birthday, she asks for her friends and family to not give her gifts, but to gift her money instead.
She uses that money to buy toys and treats for the animals at the Ontario SPCA Midland & District Branch, as well as necessities that the branch can always use more of.
It’s a heartwarming sight to see Rebecca come in on her birthday and smile from ear to ear as she gives her donations out to the animals.
Thank you, Rebecca!
