The Ontario SPCA is gearing up for the holidays with some great programs in support of the animals. After a successful campaign last year, iAdopt for the Holidays launched nation wide November 1st, 2014. Rescue groups, SPCAs and Humane Societies are coming together to promote responsible pet adoption over the holidays.
As part of the iAdopt for the Holidays Campaign, Ontario SPCA Branches are offering a reduced adoption fee of $99 for all cats and kittens. View available cats.
And what gift-giving season would be complete without the return of Paws & Give™, the Ontario SPCA's symbolic gift catalogue.

Bootcamp Roll Call
When two enthusiastic, playful Labrador Retriever mixes named “Farley” and “Blue” came into the Ontario SPCA Barrie Branch, we knew right away they would need extra attention! Some of our shelter dogs may require remedial training before they can be adopted, and these two were no exception. We were thrilled when a dog handler with the Police K9 unit offered to help and work with both dogs to improve their obedience. Good luck Farley and Blue! View all dogs available for adoption.

Our Branch is Going Paperless
We are thrilled to have the addition of Lesley Thorn to the Ontario SPCA Barrie Branch team as Volunteer Coordinator. Lesley will be implementing our new volunteer software management system, which will enable us to manage our volunteer programs and applications online. This will result in more efficient volunteer screening and eliminate the need for paper applications. Welcome Lesley! View all volunteer opportunities.

Help Us Fill Our Wish List
At the shelter, we frequently have items that are in high demand and sometimes urgently needed. As winter approaches, we would really appreciate the donation of the following items: Mr. Clean, dog toys, cat toys with catnip (or without), liver treats for dogs, Costco X-Strong black garbage bags, blankets, towels and sheets. iAdopt for the Holidays
Everyone wants to be with family over the holidays, pets included. This year, take part in the National "iAdopt for the Holidays" Adoption Campaign from November 1st until December 31st, 2014 and let a loving animal into your life. Visit one of the participating shelters, find your true love, and share your adoption story with others.
Together, we can change the lives of orphaned pets, raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and get as many animals into new homes over the holidays as possible.

Giving Tuesday - Give the Gift of Time
On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, Giving Tuesday will be celebrated all across Canada, and internationally around the world. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is a day to give back, in whatever way you choose, but it is also an opportunity to teach the importance of philanthropy to our younger generations. The Ontario SPCA could not continue its life saving work without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
