Adopt

March is Fix Your Pet Month

KittensTens of thousands of dogs and cats end up on the street or orphaned every year. Many more become neglected and abused. Get informed, take action and save lives. Fixyourpet.ca, it's the kindest thing you can do. We are excited to announce that our Barrie Spay/Neuter services clinic just surpassed it's 10,000th spay/neuter surgery! Congratulations to all the staff, volunteers and supporters for making this milestone possible!

Facts:

  • Spaying and neutering does not lead to weight gain
  • Spaying and neutering are safe, routine surgical procedures
  • Dogs and cats breed simply to satisfy hormone-induced instincts
  • Spaying and neutering can significantly reduce health risks from cancers and  infections

Ontario SPCA Thanks Nutrience

NutrienceThe Ontario SPCA would like to thank Nutrience for their generous donation towards our Communities.

"This donation is not only helping feed the thousands of orphaned animals that come into our care, but it's also contributing to our new infectious disease control policies that we have implemented across the Province. Thanks to this donation, each animal well will now receive his/her very own leash, preventing the possible spread of disease throughout the shelter" - Tanya Firmage, Director of Animal Welfare Operations, Ontario SPCA.

Check out this video to see the truck load of supplies they provided!
