The Ontario SPCA is gearing up for the holidays with some great programs in support of the animals. After a successful campaign last year, iAdopt for the Holidays launched nation wide November 1st, 2014. Rescue groups, SPCAs and Humane Societies are coming together to promote responsible pet adoption over the holidays.
As part of the iAdopt for the Holidays Campaign, Ontario SPCA Branches are offering a reduced adoption fee of $99 for all cats and kittens. View adoptable cats.
And what gift-giving season would be complete without the return of Paws & Give™, the Ontario SPCA's symbolic gift catalogue.

Learning to Love Again
Sometimes the scars left in cases of animal abuse or neglect are not merely physical, but can lead a deep mistrust of any humans.
This was the case with “Delilah”, a young Pyrenees mix who was transferred to the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch due to her special needs. She was fearful and timid around people.
Our staff was able to match her with a calm, loving owner named Ruth who could be actively and attentively cared for. We are so happy for Delilah and her ability to trust again.

Cat-tastic Volunteers Joanne and Kayla
Every Friday afternoon, two of our volunteers Joanne and Kayla join us to help the cats at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch.
They both enjoy socializing with the cats on a weekly basis and perform daily tasks like topping up water dishes and cleaning litter boxes.
Joanne has recently adopted one of our shelter cats and we are so pleased to hear things are going well.
From all the staff here at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch, we would like to thank Joanne and Kayla for their awesome efforts!

IT Specialist Showcases our Shelter
We are always touched when a member of the community reaches out to us here at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch to donate their time or services to help the animals.
Adam McGregor, owner of Compu-Silv Computers and True Speed Internet Services, is an avid animal enthusiast. He and his team often go above and beyond the call of duty by donating funds so we can have a presence in local advertising markets to showcase our fundraising events. They also help our IT department when needed. We are grateful to Adam and his team for their contributions to our shelter.

iAdopt for the Holidays
Everyone wants to be with family over the holidays, pets included. This year, take part in the National "iAdopt for the Holidays" Adoption Campaign from November 1st until December 31st, 2014 and let a loving animal into your life. Visit one of the participating shelters, find your true love, and share your adoption story with others.
Together, we can change the lives of orphaned pets, raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and get as many animals into new homes over the holidays as possible.

Giving Tuesday - Give the Gift of Time
On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, Giving Tuesday will be celebrated all across Canada, and internationally around the world. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is a day to give back, in whatever way you choose, but it is also an opportunity to teach the importance of philanthropy to our younger generations. The Ontario SPCA could not continue its life saving work without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
