The Ontario SPCA is gearing up for the holidays with some great programs in support of the animals. After a successful campaign last year, iAdopt for the Holidays launched nation wide November 1st, 2014. Rescue groups, SPCAs and Humane Societies are coming together to promote responsible pet adoption over the holidays.
As part of the iAdopt for the Holidays Campaign, Ontario SPCA Branches are offering a reduced adoption fee of $99 for all cats and kittens. View adoptable cats.
And what gift-giving season would be complete without the return of Paws & Give™, the Ontario SPCA's symbolic gift catalogue.

Proper Training Makes a Difference
We were recently contacted by Kristen and Steve, who adopted a Boxer/Labrador Retriever-mix named Zoe last year. They wanted to share their training success story with us!
While at the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Branch staff noted Zoe was not cat-friendly and nervous around other dogs. Since Kristen and Steve already had a cat, they were determined to make it work. With patience, consistency and practice, Zoe has accepted their cat “Pete” and now socializes with other dogs.
Way to go Kristen, Steve and Zoe for your hard work, which is paying off!

Hardworking Couple Margy and David
We are thrilled to have the awesome duo of Margy and David as part of our volunteer team here at the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Branch.
This dedicated couple is committed to helping the animals and staff at the shelter, making things better for everyone. They clean, help with landscaping duties, heavy lifting and so much more. Margy especially enjoys socializing the cats!

Grooming for a Good Cause
We recently had a successful fundraiser thanks to the Orangeville Pet Valu stores who hosted “Pet Paw Spas” for the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Branch! For a donation fee of $10, a certified groomer was available at each store to clip pet nails.
All of us at the Branch send special thanks to the Pet Valu owners, managers, staff and groomers who make this event possible. Thank you!

iAdopt for the Holidays
Everyone wants to be with family over the holidays, pets included. This year, take part in the National "iAdopt for the Holidays" Adoption Campaign from November 1st until December 31st, 2014 and let a loving animal into your life. Visit one of the participating shelters, find your true love, and share your adoption story with others.
Together, we can change the lives of orphaned pets, raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and get as many animals into new homes over the holidays as possible.

Giving Tuesday - Give the Gift of Time
On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, Giving Tuesday will be celebrated all across Canada, and internationally around the world. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is a day to give back, in whatever way you choose, but it is also an opportunity to teach the importance of philanthropy to our younger generations. The Ontario SPCA could not continue its life saving work without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
