The Ontario SPCA is gearing up for the holidays with some great programs in support of the animals. After a successful campaign last year, iAdopt for the Holidays launched nation wide November 1st, 2014. Rescue groups, SPCAs and Humane Societies are coming together to promote responsible pet adoption over the holidays.
As part of the iAdopt for the Holidays Campaign, Ontario SPCA Branches are offering a reduced adoption fee of $99 for all cats and kittens. View adoptable cats.

Emergency Care Saves "Sammy"
When “Sammy” was brought to the Ontario SPCA Orillia Branch, it was clear the diminutive black cat needed immediate veterinary attention.
Upon examination, veterinarians determined his injured hind leg required amputation. The surgery was a success and he quickly adapted to his new life. His affectionate nature helped attract the attention of some visitors to the Ontario SPCA Orillia Branch and he was adopted! Emergency care for animals like Sammy is extremely costly but necessary to save lives. Please help us to continue to provide critical care for animals by donating now. Co-op Student Micha Shines
This month, we would like to spotlight Micha, an extraordinary volunteer who is always happy to lend a helping hand.
Micha joined our volunteer team as part of a co-op program with her school, and does everything from day-to-day animal care, to unpacking donations and feeding the animals.
We are happy to have her with our team! Thank you Micha for all your great work here at the Ontario SPCA Orillia Branch.

iAdopt for the Holidays
Everyone wants to be with family over the holidays, pets included. This year, take part in the National "iAdopt for the Holidays" Adoption Campaign from November 1st until December 31st, 2014 and let a loving animal into your life. Visit one of the participating shelters, find your true love, and share your adoption story with others.
Together, we can change the lives of orphaned pets, raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption, and get as many animals into new homes over the holidays as possible.

Giving Tuesday - Give the Gift of Time
On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014, Giving Tuesday will be celebrated all across Canada, and internationally around the world. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is a day to give back, in whatever way you choose, but it is also an opportunity to teach the importance of philanthropy to our younger generations. The Ontario SPCA could not continue its life saving work without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
