Bootcamp Payoff
The Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch first met “Aussie”, an energetic one-year-old Shepherd-mix, when she arrived at the shelter as a stray back in July. Aussie was wonderful with the staff and volunteers but showed quite the anxiety around strangers. We knew Aussie would need some help dealing with her fear of strangers if she wanted to get adopted so the staff volunteered their time to take her to behavioural classes. It didn’t take long for this sweet girl to put her best paw forward and gain some confidence when meeting potential adopters.
Aussie’s hard work paid off! A wonderful couple came in to the shelter and fell in love. We are so excited for Aussie to start her new life in her forever home!

Volunteer Spotlight - Meet Lynn
Lynn Erickson’s love of cats began with “KT”, pictured above, whom she adopted just months after losing her father. Once her precious KT passed away, Lynn decided to take her passion for cats to the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch and give back to the cats.
Lynn began volunteering as a cat cuddler. She felt a great sense of joy and pride helping frightened, timid cats come out of their shell.
“It’s amazing to be able to shape the future of these beautiful animals,” says Lynn.
She feels blessed to be able to see animals the animals she helps being placed into the perfect home.
Thank you Lynn for your empathy and dedication!

Wish Come True
Tiffany and Chris wanted to find a way to help the animals at the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch. After reading over the shelter’s wish list on Facebook, the siblings and their mother hit the stores, purchasing food, toys, treats, bedding and more! What better way to demonstrate holiday spirit than helping animals in need! Their generosity is just one example of the great support the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch receives from our community.
Our animals still have stockings to fill. Please consider helping by checking out our WISH LIST!

You Help Save Lives
The Ontario SPCA depends almost entirely on the generosity of people like you - your compassion enables us to provide urgently needed care and shelter for the thousands of innocent animals that suffer from injury, abuse or neglect each year in this province.
Every success we achieve – every life we save – is only possible with the ongoing generosity of our supporters and donors.
On behalf of all of us at the Ontario SPCA, including all our frontline staff across the province who work so hard to save lives, thank you!
