Bella Shines
Adopting out a senior pet can sometimes be a challenge. So when Bella, an adorable eight-year-old cat came into the care of the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, we anticipated a longer shelter stay due to her age.
Bella proved us wrong thanks to her extremely affectionate personality. A mother and her infant son came into the adoption centre looking for a younger cat. When our adoption coordinator introduced them to Bella, it was an instant connection. Bella charmed the family and she just absolutely loved the baby! There was no question that Bella was the cat for them.
We are so happy Bella found her forever home!

Winter Warmth for Outdoor Cats Event a Huge Success
Volunteers from the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre (PEAC) joined forces with the local community to build feral cat shelters for the outdoor cats in the Greater Toronto Area.
The event took place during our open house on Saturday, November 29th at PEAC. A total of 34 volunteers took part in building the shelters for the feral caretakers to distribute. We are thrilled to report that we were able to build 47 feral cat shelters, 11 of which were in use the next night!
In addition, we are also happy to announce that five cats were adopted during this event. We want to thank everyone who attended and all of our supporters who donated to our feral cat food bank.
Stay tuned for our next home building event in January, 2015.

Cats In Need
The Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre sees many cats throughout the year in need loving homes. While they wait for their forever home, staff at the shelter provide the best care possible to make their stay comfortable.
Often our resources get depleted and it is thanks to the generous support of people like you that we are able to continue providing them with the necessities of a home.
We are currently in need of non-clumping cat littler so that we can continue to provide a clean and healthy space for our cats while they are in our care.
Please consider donating non-clumping cat littler or anything else on our WISH LIST.
We thank everyone in the community for their incredible donations and their support.
