Foster Family Saves the Day
A sad little Chihuahua came in to the Ontario SPCA Barrie
Branch in terrible condition. His nails
were more then two inches long, he had a flea infestation and he was
emaciated.
After “Stewie” was examined and treated, we needed to get
him into a foster home as quick as possible so that he could be cared for and
put some weight on. Thankfully a
wonderful foster family came forward and took him in.
Stewie’s extended stay at his foster home turned into a
permanent new family as nobody had come in to claim him.His foster mom was so in love with him that she just needed to adopt him. She proudly showed off videos and pictures of
Stewie with his new Chihuahua friend “Bruce Wayne” playing and snuggling. It was a prefect match.

Rest in Peace Marion
It is with heavy hearts, that we say goodbye to a major
donor and supporter. Marion Fell, a devoted and long time advocate for animal welfare has died peacefully in her sleep just shy of her 100th birthday!
Marion came to Barrie in 1933, and for the next eight decades accomplished many great feats that changed the landscape of compassionate treatment of animals in the area.
Read her touching tribute in the Barrie Examiner as we honour this wonderful, caring and extraordinary women.
Marion's legacy will always be remembered!

You Help Save Lives
The Ontario SPCA depends almost entirely on the generosity of people like you - your compassion enables us to provide urgently needed care and shelter for the thousands of innocent animals that suffer from injury, abuse or neglect each year in this province.
Every success we achieve – every life we save – is only possible with the ongoing generosity of our supporters and donors.
On behalf of all of us at the Ontario SPCA, including all our frontline staff across the province who work so hard to save lives, thank you!
