Rescued Cat “Cindy-Lou” is Finally Home
When large-scale rescue operations occur, it can transform the lives of the animals involved. “Cindy-Lou”, an affectionate little feline, came to the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Branch from a property with 80+ cats.
Cindy-Lou was a little timid at first, but with some nourishment and love from the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Branch staff, Cindy-Lou blossomed and was ready for a new home. We were thrilled to see this photo of Cindy-Lou loving her new home, and just how happy she now is!

Baking as a Team
The participants and volunteers of our recent National Cupcake Day™ fundraiser for the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Branch really blew us away with their hard work and delicious creations! The beautiful and creativeness of the treats, combined with the fundraising efforts of the organizers and supporters was incredible.

Rowan’s Birthday Donation
Staff and animals at the Ontario SPCA Lennox & Addington Branch were recently introduced to Rowan, an incredible little boy who loves animals.
Rowan requested that his family and friends bring donations for his sixth birthday instead of presents. We were so moved by this act of kindness from someone so young when he brought all of the donations in to help the animals in the shelter.
Thank you Rowan for your wonderful generosity, and happy belated birthday from all of the staff at our shelter!

March is Fix Your Pet Month!
Spaying and neutering your pet is such an important measure to help address pet overpopulation that the Ontario SPCA has dedicated the entire month of March to Fix Your Pet!
Tens of thousands of dogs and cats end up homeless on the street or orphaned every year. Having your pet spayed or neutered will directly address this problem. The Ontario SPCA encourages the public to fix their pets and help reduce the number of unwanted pets.
Is your pet already spayed or neutered? Consider Spaying it Forward by donating the average price of a spay/neuter procedure to help an animal in need.

ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge!
This spring, the Ontario SPCA will be promoting our No Hot Pets campaign with the help of students across the province thanks to a partnership with ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge. This challenge is a six-week campaign with one goal: get high school students to volunteer in their community.
Youth will be asking the public to pledge to not leave their pets in cars. This important pet safety message will allow students to gain their community hours, learn about pet safety and help save lives! If you would like to join the youth volunteer team in your area, please go to your local Ontario SPCA website, click on the “Get Involved” tab and sign up for our Operation No Hot Pets event.
