“Georgia” Rescued from Deplorable Conditions
Finding animals in dirty, cramped and deplorable conditions is heartbreaking. We recently received a transfer cat named “Georgia”, who had been rescued from a hoarding situation. She was minimally socialized with humans, extremely underweight and missing patches of fur due to stress.
The staff here at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch were dedicated to her rehabilitation and recovery. With some proper nutrition, care and attention, she thrived. A visitor name Susan was searching for a companion just like Georgia to join her and her mother. Georgia found her happy ending and loving home! View all available animals.

The Dynamic Duo
This past holiday season was made a little bit brighter thanks to Diane and her son Wade. They spread goodwill and cheer by making it a family tradition to walk the dogs over the holidays and spend quality time with some of our other shelter animals. Diane is also a skilled groomer and has given some of our dogs “makeovers” which helps to get them adopted! They have also adopted three cats and two dogs from our branch.
Their six years of volunteering has made an enormous difference at our shelter. Thank you Diane and Wade from all of us here at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch!

Jack Chops his Long Locks for the Animals
We were pleasantly surprised by a local 10-year-old named Jack who wanted to fundraise for our shelter. He grew out his hair for months and months, and when it reached a certain length, it became time for a major trim!
He earned $70 from cutting his hair, and donated all the proceeds to the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch because he loves animals so much. Thank you for your thoughtful contribution Jack!
