Three Legs and Still Full of Play
Our team at the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch were happy to help “Hook”, a sweet but injured feline who was missing a front paw. It was determined he was in significant discomfort and needed further medical intervention, so one of our amazing veterinary partners stepped up and amputated the leg to make him more comfortable. Once he recovered, his wonderful personality began to shine and he was adopted. His new family renamed him “Paw” and he is very happy in his loving new home!

Sue Dedicates Years of Service to our Shelter
Sue Marshall began volunteering with the Ontario SPCA in Chatham in the early 1970s by helping with bingo and bake sales. She has continued working charity bingos, volunteering at the bingo hall and managing the accounts. Sue loves animals, and has a 15-year-old cat named “Babe”. She wants to do whatever she can to help.
Thanks Sue for your many years of dedicated service to the animals of the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch.

High School Students Donate Over $880
The grade 12 Business Leadership Class at John McGregor Secondary School is learning what it means to be involved in the community. The class was divided into groups, three of which selected the Ontario SPCA as their charity of choice, wanting to help make a difference in the lives of animals. Through several fundraisers, including bake sales and basket raffles, the students raised over $880 for the Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch!
We are touched by their dedication and support, and are glad to know these are Chatham-Kent’s future business leaders!
