“Zelda” Finds a Safe Place to Land
The adorable little “Zelda” came into our care in February as a stray. She was examined by a veterinarian and it was determined she was a special needs cat with Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a non-progressive neurological condition she was born with.
We were thrilled when a visitor came into the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Animal Centre and wanted to give Zelda the caring, loving home she deserved. We are so pleased to know that Zelda is happy and her special needs are being taken care of.

Kibbles & Bids a Big Success
We are pleased to highlight the Kibble & Bids Facebook auction, and how your ongoing support in addition to the hard work of our volunteers and donors, has brought our total to $2,000 as of April this year!
Whether you’re looking to buy a special gift or donate a gently-used treasure, we are grateful for your support. All proceeds raised will directly support the animals here at the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Animal Centre.

Help Find a Home for “Henley”
Our Meet your Match® adoption program continues to find homes for the many animals that come into the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Animal Centre. Your donations help animals such as “Henley”, a charming 7-year-old Miniature Dachshund who was recently surrendered by his owner.
Henley is a fun little guy who loves everyone, and while he enjoys walks and playtime, his favorite pastime is to snuggle up on the sofa with a friend. If you have room on your couch and in your heart for this little guy, please give us a call at (705) 645-6225 or come in for a visit!
Thank you to our donors and supporters whose contributions mean everything to our shelter and the animals.

Got a Pet? Get a Vet!™SPCAs and Humane Societies across Canada encourage pet owners that if you've 'Got a Pet? Get a Vet!™'
It’s important to establish a relationship with a veterinarian when you get a pet. Just one veterinary check-up a year will help protect against a variety of potentially life-threatening diseases, detect health problems sooner, and avoid unexpected costs.
Veterinarians provide many services such as:
• Early Disease Detection
• Regular Vaccinations
• Flea, Tick and Parasite Prevention
• Prevention of Dental Disease
• Nutritional Counselling
• Pet Identification
• And so much more! Don’t wait until something goes wrong to take your pet in for a check-up. Schedule a visit with your local veterinarian to ensure a longer, healthier life for your pet(s).

No Hot Pets is Back!
Temperatures have already broken records in some areas of Ontario and calls are coming in to report pets being left in vehicles.
Tuesday, May 19th marks the official launch of the No Hot Pets campaign.
The Ontario SPCA wants to remind pet owners of the dangers of leaving pets unattended in a vehicle during the hot summer months.
Parked cars can quickly reach deadly temperatures, even on relatively mild days with the car parked in the shade and the windows slightly open.
Don’t forget your pet and pledge to NOT leave your pet in a vehicle this summer.
Visit nohotpets.ca and help spread the word about the dangers of leaving pets in vehicles.
