“Moses” Finds his Way into a New Home
“Moses” is a 7-year-old Smooth Collie-type mix who was transferred into our care at the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre.
After being rescued by local animal control, they noticed he had a lesion on his nose that required medical attention. Veterinarians determined he had Lupus, a manageable condition that affects the immune system.
With proper care and medication, Moses’ charming personality began to shine! He was adopted in May, and we are so pleased to hear he’s thriving in his new home.
There are many sweet animals looking for their forever home. Take the Meet your Match® survey and find your perfect match.

Volunteer Ray + Pets = FUN
Ray Clarke has been volunteering with the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre for the past year and has been very dedicated to both his feline and canine friends at our shelter.
He volunteers to walk the dogs, and also enjoys socializing our cats and dogs, working with scents for enhanced play time. Ray truly enjoys spending time with our wonderful shelter pets.
We appreciate the time and attention Ray gives to the animals. Thank you Ray for your continued help and support!

Meet "Roxy" our Friends for Life! Walk™ Spokes Animal
“Roxy”, a 5-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix was surrendered to the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Animal Centre when her owners were moving and no longer able to keep her. With her sweet disposition and love for everyone, the staff thought it wouldn’t take long before she was adopted.
However, it was discovered Roxy had health issues that needed to be addressed. Her ears were severely infected and had been left untreated for some time. Her thyroid and liver levels were also a concern and she would need to go on medication for the rest of her life. After some love and care, Roxy was finally ready for adoption and in late August, she found her forever home.
Join the Friends for Life! Walk™ in Sudbury on September 20th, 2015 to help animals just like Roxy or donate to Roxy’s personal fund raising page.

Newshound is Getting
a Make-Over
It’s time to take Newshound to the next level and we need your help! In order to make the Ontario SPCA newsletter the “must read” of all newsletters, we need your feedback.
Next month, rather than sending our usual edition of Newshound, we will be sending you a short survey to better understand what it is you want to see in the Ontario SPCA newsletter.
So if you have any suggestions, please make note of them and check your inbox mid August with a link to provide us with feedback. Your input is important to us!
We thank you for your loyal readership and from all the animals at the Ontario SPCA, we wish you a happy and safe summer.
