One day when Christian came to the shelter, he met “Snow”, an 11-month-old, white long-haired cat. Christian was immediately captivated by Snow and knew he wanted to adopt her. He used his savings to pay for her adoption fee. When staff at the shelter saw Christian and Snow together, it was obvious to all of us that this match was meant to be!
Congratulations to Christian and to Snow on this purr-fect adoption.
There are many sweet animals looking for their forever home. Take the Meet your Match® survey and find your perfect match.

Welcome Back Pauline
After a short leave to care for family, our wonderful volunteer Pauline is back. She often drops by to sort bottles and containers that have been dropped off by donors throughout the day for our bottle drive. Pauline surprises us often by just showing up at the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Branch and taking on whatever task we need her to tackle.
Pauline is a very hard working volunteer and we appreciate her dedication and thoughtfulness. She also donated and planted some beautiful flowers at our shelter recently to enhance our shelter’s curb appeal.
Welcome back Pauline!

Meet "Jack" our Friends for Life! Walk™ Spokes Animal
This little Beagle, “Jack” found his way into the
Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Branch last year. Jack had been adopted
and returned a couple of times and just wasn't finding the right home.
To gain a better understanding of Jack, one of our staff fostered him for
several weeks. They became inseparable.
Although Rose and Jack were clearly a team, Rose
wasn’t in a position to adopt him but knew exactly what to look for when
matching him with a new forever home. Jack now lives with a wonderful
family who understand the needs of this gentle little Beagle.
You can help special animals like Jack to find their
forever homes by supporting the Friends for Life! Walk™ in Orangeville,
on September 19th, 2015.
Help Jack raise money by registering for the walk, or
donate to Jack’s personal fund raising page.

And remember to visit nohotpets.ca, take the pledge NOT to leave your pets unattended in hot vehicles and share the message with family and friends.

Newshound is Getting
a Make-Over
It’s time to take Newshound to the next level and we need your help! In order to make the Ontario SPCA newsletter the “must read” of all newsletters, we need your feedback.
Next month, rather than sending our usual edition of Newshound, we will be sending you a short survey to better understand what it is you want to see in the Ontario SPCA newsletter.
So if you have any suggestions, please make note of them and check your inbox mid August with a link to provide us with feedback. Your input is important to us!
We thank you for your loyal readership and from all the animals at the Ontario SPCA, we wish you a happy and safe summer.
