Volunteers and Canadian Tire Help Make Adoption Events Possible

Iams® Home for the Holidays® adoption events are being held across Ontario and we would like to thank Canadian Tire for being such a wonderful host.

We would also like to thank the volunteers dedicating their time to help find loving homes for the animals. Thank you Jessica, David, Anna, Alicia, Nancy, Michelle, Karen, Jenna, J.J., Rick and everyone else for making these events possible.

 Buddy the German Shepherd

Buddy's Shooter Pleads Guilty
Back in March of 2012, the Ontario SPCA was involved in a very public case involving Buddy, a German Shepherd-type dog who was shot in St.-Charles, Ontario.

Buddy sustained serious injuries to his face and was transported to the Walden Animal Hospital to receive care but eventually succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

 Nitro the cat

Adoption Update - Nitro

Nitro, a 6 year old male cat came to us at the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Branch as a surrender in July 2012.  This handsome boy was a large cat with a personality that matched his size. Whenever someone would approach his cage, he would often vocally greet them with great enthusiasm.

He is a true ‘Leader of the Band’ as determined by our Meet Your Match® Feline-ality™.

Mary - Spay Neuter Volunteer
