Ghost was brought to the Renfrew County Branch by a concerned homeowner who had found this beautiful, pure white girl in their yard.
She stayed at the shelter for almost a month waiting for the perfect family to come in. Then her beautiful picture caught the eye of a cat lover looking for a special friend and Ghost turned out to be the perfect match.

Meet our Barrie Volunteers
The Ontario SPCA Barrie Branch has a great group of volunteers that have been coming to the shelter since January 2011.
Coming to us from Simcoe Community Services, these volunteers come in without fail every week for their scheduled shift. General cleaning may not the most glamorous of volunteer positions, but they always come in good spirits and eager to help where they can.

A Birthday to Help Animals
Andrew Schiestel recently celebrated a birthday and invited Rebecca Tanti, Regional Inspector for the Ontario SPCA, to speak about the life saving work she does.
In lieu of gifts, Andrew requested his firends give a donation to the Ontario SPCA and presented Inspector Tanti with a cheque for $1500. It is thanks to the generosity of people like Andrew and his friends that pets are given a second chance.
Visit our new Life's Milestones Tribute Centre for ways to pay tribute to the pets and animal lovers in your life.
