Update on Kieran the Kitten
'Kieran is very protective of his loving owners and becomes concerned over anything that could hurt them, including the water in the shower or bath. He also won't go to the bathroom at night until his owners are securely tucked into bed.
When he isn’t playing guard-cat, he spends his time chasing wadded up junk mail balls that he chases all over the house, along with pens, and hair elastics.
Quirky Kieran might be slightly afraid of the dark! He has a super adorable sneeze and loves giving kisses too.' -Kieran's new family.

Horses for Adoption
Since the beginning of the year, the Ontario SPCA has been caring for 29 horses.
Horses require a lot of care and resources and as such, they can be quite a financial strain on the Society. Currently, we have many horses in our care and are trying to find them the loving homes they deserve.
You can help us care for these beautiful horses by making a donation on their fundraising page.
Are you looking to adopt a new companion? If you, or someone you know, are interested in adopting a horse please visit our website.
For more information on our horses, please contact Senior Inspector Green at 705-728-7311 ext. 2 or email agreen@ospca.on.ca.
In a recent episode of the Animals’ Voice Pawdcast, Agent Tracy Lapping helps us understand how to properly care for a horse. Click Here to listen.
Thank you for helping us care for these amazing horses!

Spring Safety Tips
It's just starting to look like spring outside! We all know how exciting this time of year can be, but we need to make sure we take the proper precautions to keep pets safe. Here are some quick tips to keep in mind this spring:
•Make sure your pet wears an ID tag with your home address, cell phone and any other relevant contact information on it in the event they become lost. It’s also a good idea to have your pet microchipped.
•Don’t allow dogs to ride in the bed of pick-up trucks or stick their heads out of moving car windows.
•Products such as paints, mineral spirits and solvents can be toxic to your pets and cause irritation or burns.
Check out our blog for more spring safety tips.
