Submitting Your Funds

Now that the hard work is over, here are the three options you can choose from to return your National Cupcake Day™ funds. Please choose one of the methods outlined below.

Option 1. Have donors donate directly online through your Online Bakery.
Encourage all of your supporters to donate to your Online Bakery directly - they can use a credit card to make a secure transaction. These donations will be receipted via email once the payment has been processed. These donations will contribute to your online fundraising total.

This is the easiest and most environmentally friendly option!

Note: If you are supporting the BC SPCA, Winnipeg Humane Society or the Ottawa Humane Society, you will receive a tax receipt directly from the charity.

For all other locations, donors will receive a tax receipt by email from the Ontario SPCA, who are administering the campaign. Funds will then be directed to your society of choice (if different from the Ontario SPCA).

Option 2. Submit donations through your Online Bakery using your credit card.
Download a National Cupcake Day Party Donation Form. Collect cash and cheques (made out to you) at your National Cupcake Day Party and enter the information for those donors who want a tax receipt on the form (we typically issue tax receipts for those who donate $10 or more). This is so you can keep track of all your supporters.

Log in to your Online Bakery and click on Enter new gift (button is on the right hand side of the page). Enter your donors' information by clicking on "additional gift entry fields" and choose to pay by credit card. Enter in your own personal credit card information and your donors’ information so they get their tax receipt. The tax receipt will be mailed to them. You can then use the cash and cheques you received to pay off your credit card balance.

IMPORTANT: For a valid tax receipt to be issued, the donor’s complete home address must be provided. Tax receipts c/o participant’s address will not be valid or issued. Please DO NOT use your email address as a substitute if the donor’s email is not available.

If your Cupcake Party Guests do not require a tax receipt for their donation, just add up all your money and make one donation using your credit card for the lump sum.

All donations must be received by midnight on March 15th, 2015 to be counted toward our fundraising competitions.

Option 3: Submit donations by mail via the envelope supplied in your Host Kit.
Download a National Cupcake Day Party Donation Form or use the donation form in your Host Kit. Collect cash and cheques at your National Cupcake Day Party and enter the information of donors who want a tax receipt on the form (we typically issue tax receipts for those who donate $10 or more).

Mail in your National Cupcake Day Party Donation Form with collected cheques in the postage paid envelope supplied in your Cupcake Day Host Kit. Any cash you receive can be added up and one personal cheque can be submitted for the total. Please do not mail cash.

All donations must be received by midnight on March 15th, 2015 to be counted toward our fundraising competitions.

All cheques you mail in must be made out to National Cupcake Day, EXCEPT for those supporting the BC SPCA, Ottawa Humane Society or Winnipeg Humane Society, please make those cheques out to the receptive society.
