Zoe arrived at our shelter with her mother and sister one evening during one of the worst blizzards we had this long winter. The pure white pups and their mom had been wondering around in the storm and a kind person brought them into her home. The puppies and their mother were very nervous around people and it took them a long time to warm up to shelter staff and volunteers enough that we could pet and play with them. We soon noticed that, due to a birth defect, Zoe had a club foot (basically one of her legs is much shorter than the other three). It was clear that this defect wouldn’t be slowing Zoe down anytime soon!
After some socialization and time spent at the shelter Zoe’s mother, found her forever home, and so did her other puppy. Finally Zoe’s special day came, and one of the volunteers at the shelter decided to give her a loving home! Zoe is doing very well with her new family and has come to the shelter to visit the staff.
