Hello Friends!

My name is Elijah! I'm hoping you can help me and my friends that receive care from the Ontario SPCA Orangeville & District Animal Centre.

Let me tell you a little more about my story:
I have traveled a long way from the Whitefish Bay First Nation in the far North. I was one of over 75 dogs rescued from the streets.

I am a 2-year-old husky/shepherd mix who loves affection. My best trick is flashing my baby blues to get a belly rub out of anyone who is willing, and greeting you with a paw shake. I love to play outside and especially running around in the snow, however I have recently been placed on bed rest and allowed minimal walking. It’s been devastating!

I have been battling an infection on my front paw and it keeps swelling up. The veterinary team has determined that I have a serious fungal disease now affecting both my leg and my teeth. I have lost three teeth so far from it, but now that I am on a 60 day regiment of anti-inflammatory medication, we are hoping that I will be up and playing very soon. Oh how I miss running around and having fun.

In the meantime, my cost of care keeps going up and the medication is really expensive so I am hoping to try and raise some money to help the Animal Centre since they have been so good to me. My goal is to raise $3500 to help animals just like me get the care they need.
