Hercules was found alone, shivering and injured, desperately trying to seek refuge inside a stranger’s house on one of the coldest days of the winter. All he wanted was a warm, safe home and a family to love him. Fortunately for Hercules, the Good Samaritan who found him brought him to the Ontario SPCA.

This approximately nine-month-old Mastiff-cross had a badly injured eye and trauma to one of his hind legs as a result of a fracture that had gone untreated. To give this beautiful boy the best chance at a pain-free life, veterinarians recommended the removal of his damaged eye and the amputation of his leg.

Hercules is recovering well from everything he has been through and his happy personality is already shining through.

These types of life-saving rescues would not be possible without the support of caring individuals like you. The kindness you show animals in need is what makes second chances possible for dogs like Hercules.

The cost of Hercules’ surgery and care is expected to exceed $3,500. Will you make a special gift today to help? Any amount will help Hercules, and animals in similar critical situations who end up at our door.

Thank you for changing a life.
